Well it’s February 1st and time to start planning those trips you resolved to go on about a month ago. Luckily, for travel junkies on a budget who also happen to be procrastinators (some of us prefer to be called “wanderers” thank you), MapHappy has released a spiffy GoogleDocs spreadsheet you can customize for your upcoming travels.
This spreadsheet is an awesome budget planning tool that simplifies the budgeting process so you can spend more making memories on your trip and less time wondering whether your wallet is judging you. This template document breaks down expenses into 8 categories; lets you set your currency and budgets for each destination for up to 5 destinations; calculates your physical cash in hand plus any leftover cash from your ATM withdrawals and accounts for this in your overall spending total.
Only one catch: you have to be signed into your Google Docs account to view and download the spreadsheet. Still, it’s a small price to pay to make sure you don’t wipe out on larger expenses.
