EDGEtv’s offices sit just a quick skate up the road from legendary Dogtown, that magic mile where Jay Adams, Tony Alva, Peggy Oki, and the rest of the Zephyr team revolutionized skateboarding by doing things their own way.
Here at EDGEtv we’re keeping it alive with a raw DIY punk-rock-ethos community of adventure seekers and doers getting after it on air, sea, and land.
With Sirius (the Dog Star) burning brightest in the Northern Hemisphere’s nightsky (thank the Romans for naming this hottest time of the year “The Dog Days”), it’s time to slow yer roll, pop the cap on a cold one, and watch the world go by from behind your shades. In other words: do what your dog would do if s/he had opposable thumbs.
Melodic Caring Project
EDGEtv Influencer, Levi Ware, is the founder of The Melodic Caring Project, a non-profit with a mission to bring love and encouragement to hospitalized kids through live music. MCP does this by filming and streaming live concerts to kids in their hospital rooms.
Melodic Caring Project and EDGEtv have teamed up to distribute and market MCP’s music catalog with all proceeds going back to MCP.
Last week, the Big Slick KC event raised $1.3 million for Children’s Mercy Hospital and brought lots of smiles to kids who need them the most. Here’s to the healing power of music.
